ONE - an amazing night!

How amazing it was to see the Palace Pavilion packed out with women desiring to be a part of the worship and prayer night for Marion! Matt 18:20 NIV says, "Wherever 2 or 3 come together in my name, there am I with them". 280 Women - representing 45 churches were there. And God's Presence was there, because we came together seeking Him.

We are so grateful for all who participated as Romans 15:6 says - with united hearts and one voice to glorify God and to pray for our city. I am extremely grateful for Debii McAllister and all the prep work and prayer that went into pulling together the multi-church worship choir and lead vocal team. The worship was definitely inspiring as we poured out our love and praise to God. I am so thankful for the pastors' wives that joined us in leading in prayer for our city - Dr. Mary Toney, Lois Payne, Judy DeSanto, Kim Gleespen, and Lisa Bush. The night wouldn't have been possible without the other lead team of women - Angie Sayre, Betty Yancey, Sharon Deemer, Julie Vasko, Barbara Dickason, Leann Wheeler and the many others who helped welcome women to ONE.

I believe what James 5:16 (AMP) says regarding prayer - that the "heartfelt, continued prayer of a righteous man (or woman) makes tremendous power available, dynamic in its working". I believe that as strong women of faith, our heartfelt, continued prayer makes tremendous power available for our city. Power to bring increase to our economy. Power to open up gainful employment for our residents. Power to restore relationships and families. Power to bring strength and peace to those who are searching. Power to protect our children. Power to bring greater light to our city.

Luke 11:9-10 tells us that those who seek will find. As we seek God - the One who has the answers for every issue we face, we will find Him. As we pursue God, Eph. 3:20 MSG says that "God can do anything, you know - far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us."

My prayer is that women were energized and inspired at ONE - to be strong, to seek God in prayer and to expect God to move in our lives and our city!

ONE

I am really looking forward to ONE - our first City-Wide, Ladies worship and prayer night. We are less than 20 days away from this amazing event! Romans 15:6 says, " That together you may (unanimously), with united hearts and ONE voice, praise and glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah)." This is the purpose of the event. Women from different backgrounds & churches, professions & walks, coming together as ONE to worship God and pray for Marion. My heart is that this night will enlarge all of our hearts for what God desires to do in Marion, and will increase our faith to expect to see His tremendous power bring great changes and increase to our city. I'm so grateful for all the women who are part of the team to make this night happen! Women from family.life.church, True Life Church, The Gathering Place, Abundant Life Assembly of God, First Church of the Nazarene, Celebration Church, Marion Christian Center, and many more. If you haven't yet purchased your ticket, get it today! We'll see you at the Palace Pavilion, downtown Marion, on July 30!

Cherish

Tonight, while working in my office, I came across some photographs of my family. As I quickly evalulated the span of time that had passed since the photos were taken (almost 6 years ago), there were a few words that impressed my heart: cherish, celebrate, pursue.

My prayer is that I learn how to love more deeply, and truly cherish the preciousness of life and those with whom I am living it. Hugs, meaningful conversations, smiles, laughter, encouraging words. Having the capacity to notice the "moments" in everyday that are worthy to be cherished. I believe it's possible to do, even while running the race.

I desire to renew the art of celebrating! Looking at the photos, I noticed there have been many changes. Two new princesses have been welcomed to our family. My dad graduated to Heaven. Some major life-strides have been accomplished by people I love. I pray for grace to embrace change and celebrate life, and most of all to encourage others to win!

Contemplating the last 6 years, I ask questions, "Have I pursued with all my heart?" "Were there marks missed in my assignments?" "What could I have done better?" "How could I have impacted more?" "How could I have pleased God more?" The quick, few-minute evaluation stirs my heart to stretch, to be strengthened in faith, to be fully persuaded that God has the power to do what He's promised. And, to see Him accomplish more than I can think or imagine, as I allow His Spirit to work in me.
